'Romeria Vikinga': Reenactment of Viking Invasion

Visitors enjoy colorful theatrical shows and have a chance to experience life of the Viking era.

Every year, thousands of people make their way to the Galician village in Spain to witness this entertaining traditional festival. In honor of the festival participants dress up as Vikings, wearing warrior outfits. The mass reenactment is based on a past event when a Viking tribe attacked the village.
