The Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered water and Christmas gifts to the children of the National Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation in the Crimean capital of Simferopol amid the energy blackout.

Ukrainian extremists blew up pylons that supported power lines sending electricity from Ukraine to Crimea. The peninsula was left without energy. Currently Russia is restoring energy supplies to the region.
