Syrian Students Praise Russia for Defending Country From Terrorism
09:46 GMT 19.11.2015 (Updated: 19:25 GMT 19.10.2022) Thousands of university students in the Syrian town of Homs took to the streets to thank Russia for its role in liberating the country from terrorist violence.
The students carried banners with the portraits of Presidents Bashar Assad and Vladimir Putin and praised Russia for defending freedom and justice.
Russia commenced pinpoint airstrikes on terrorists’ positions in Syria on September 30 at the request of its leader. Moscow’s campaign galvanized the Syrian Army into pushing ISIL away and taking back some territories.
