17:00 GMT 25.09.2015 (Updated: 19:25 GMT 19.10.2022) DARPA is testing an exoskeleton which can help heavily encumbered soldiers cover long distances with less effort and minimize the risk of muscle injuries.
The device uses a system of powered cables that timely adds pulling forces to human movement and therefore saves a serviceman’s energy. The soldiers undergoing the test have to hike a three-mile distance across differing terrains.
