“I can’t quit now after today’s horrible record,” Japanese Hidekichi Miyazaki, who was born on September 22, 1910, said after setting the record of running 100 meters in just 42,2 seconds.

He wanted to cover the distance in less than 35 seconds. After the race the sprinter took Usain Bolt’s famous “lightening pose.”
