Dexterous Robot Rides Bicycle Like a Kid
18:17 GMT 10.09.2015 (Updated: 19:25 GMT 19.10.2022) Meet the incredible humanlike robot Primer VT! This is probably the first robot that rides a bike just like we do – by turning the actual pedals. It even brakes with its feet, dragging them along the ground!
The robot greets people waving its tiny hands. It is 39 cm tall and weighs 1,6 kg. Built-in gyroscopes allow the robot to smoothly steer the bicycle handlebar to maintain balance. It can reach speeds of nearly 10 kmph.
