As Texas recovers from days of heavy thunderstorms and record flooding, rescue teams have been working around the clock to save people from the damage.
A Dallas police officer on Friday morning found himself in a precarious situation, as his SUV began to sink under the streaming floods, leaving him trapped. The footage of the incident shows the officer being rescued and lifted to safety by a helicopter. The officer is seen swaying in the wind as the helicopter lifts him.
According to KXAN, overnight crews have had to pull at least five cars from out of floodwaters in the area.
