The Only Good Killers: Watch T-Cells Destroy Cancer

Subscribe
Your organism is filled with armies of T-cells - natural bodyguards that hunt viruses and tumor cells, including even cancer cells. A teaspoon of blood contains nearly 5 million of such tireless soldiers.

The amorphous T-cells (orange and green) constantly move, investigating the environment. Once they detect an infected or cancer cell (blue), they puncture its cell membrane and inject deadly poisonous proteins (red) inside.

The scientists used high-resolution 3D time-lapse multi-color imaging to shoot the video.
