"He said he had bedbugs in the car, and someone told him if he saturated them with alcohol, it would kill," Suffolk Police Arson Detective Sgt. Edward Fitzgerald told Newsday.

Investigators will have to ask him later. He’s currently being airlifted to a local hospital with second degree burns. Hopefully no spiders nested inside the helicopter.
