When Pope Francis marked the second anniversary of his election, he made a comment about how he missed going out for pizza. Hearing this, the employees of Pizzeria Don Ernesto decided to bring the pizza to him.
The video shows co-owner of the Pizzeria Enzo Cacialli eagerly await the Popemobile in Naples, holding a pizza especially made for the Pontiff, the words "Il Papa" are inscribed in the middle with pizza crust. As the Popemobile appears, Cacialli excitedly hops over a barrier, reaches the vehicle, and hands over the Pizza to the Pope who accepted it with a cheerful smile.
Speaking to ABC News, the restaurant's other co-owner Roberto Discardi described the Pope's reaction. "I think he was joking. He said 'Thank you'…'I'll have it later.'"
