First 'Miss DPR' Show: From Battlefield to Catwalk

Female warriors of Donbas put aside machine guns and put on fancy dresses for the “Miss DPR” show. And they apparently proved that the war could not diminish their womanhood.

Despite the hunger, falling shells and a mounting number of victims, residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic found time for the first “Miss DPR” beauty contest.

The female defenders of Donbas, warriors of the “Oplot” and “Vostok” battalions, exchanged military uniforms for stylish dresses and moved from battlefields to the catwalk on the eve of International Women’s Day.
