Russian President Dmitry Medvedev criticized participants in a recent meeting of the council for the implementation of national projects and demographic policy for spending too long talking about their achievements and plans.“They are all talking about one and the same thing... They have good plans, but we should also discuss problems. If plans are all you can speak about, do it on TV,” Medvedev said after listening to a lengthy speech by Regional Development Minister Viktor Basargin. At the end of the meeting held Thursday in the gilded St. Alexander's Hall of the Kremlin, the president said he thinks the national projects should be retained as an instrument of state policy, but proposed working on them in a smaller group and in a less ceremonious atmosphere.
