    At least three people were killed on Sunday in an active shooter incident in Austin, Texas, according to local authorities.

    The incident is taking place in the 9600 block of Great Hills Trail in the Arboretum area in northwest Austin, at an apartment complex, according to the Austin Police Department.

    Austin-Travis County EMS says it was reported at 11:42 a.m. Sunday.

    Residents are recommended to avoid the area, while those in the vicinity are being asked to take shelter.
