Situation Outside US Capitol in Wake of Deadly Vehicle Attack

The incident left two people dead - a police officer and the attacker, who was identified as Noah Green. The police are investigating the motive behind the attack, and at present it is not considered to be terrorist-related.

Sputnik comes live from outside the US Capitol in Washington DC where tighter security measures are being introduced after Friday's attack that left two people dead, including the assailant.

The attacker, a 25-year-old Indiana resident called Noah Green, rammed his vehicle into two officers, injuring one and killing the other.

Green was shot by police and taken to hospital where he died.
