Sputnik is live from Washington where Dr Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is remotely testifying to the US Senate Health, Education, Labour and Pensions (HELP) Committee.
Last week, Fauci said he would switch to a "modified quarantine" after his potential exposure to a person who had tested positive for COVID-19.
The Trump administration previously blocked the expert from testifying to the Senate earlier this month.
