US Democrats have recently intensified efforts to impeach Trump for allegedly asking Kiev to probe Former Vice President of the US Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings in Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump has posted a tweet saying that he will be hard to beat in the 2020 presidential election.

According to the president, the Democrat’s game was "foiled when we caught Schiff fraudulently making up my Ukraine conversation".

Trump recently accused House Democrats of waging a political campaign against him following the impeachment investigation launched by Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.

The inquiry was started into Trump’s 25 July telephone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during which the request to probe the business interests of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter was allegedly made. The inquiry was initiated after a whistleblower sent a complaint to Congress, saying that Trump threatened to withdraw military aid to Ukraine if Kiev failed to probe the Bidens.

Democrats have argued that the alleged quid pro quo and Trump soliciting a foreign power to investigate a political rival violate US laws. However, Trump denied the allegations as another attempt at a political witch hunt to reverse the outcome of the 2016 US presidential election, and published the transcript of the telephone call with Zelensky.
