Final Day of 73rd Session of UN General Assembly in New York

The 73rd session of the UN General Assembly has been taking place in New York since September 25, with high profile officials, including heads of state and government, from 196 countries, taking part.

The current session has featured a marathon of high-level sessions and bilateral meetings focused on security challenges and the most pressing international issues, such as the future of Iran's nuclear deal, weapons of mass destruction, the Syrian peace settlement and the improving situation on the Korean Peninsula.

The United Nations General Assembly is among the principal bodies of the United Nations (UN), where all member-states have equal representation.
