Active Shooting Reported in Office Building in Wisconsin Town: 5 Injured (PHOTO)

Local authorities have responded to numerous reports of an active shooter in a commercial building in the town of Middleton, News 3 reported. The area is on lockdown. Four people were wounded, including the attacker, Middleton officials specified.

Four people were injured Wednesday morning as a result of a fire in a small Wisconsin city, local police stated. The fifth victim of the accident is the attacker himself, who is in critical condition, as Middleton officials said.

Earlier, the Dane County Communications Center reportedly stated that an active shooting began in the 1800 block of Deming Way at 10:25 a.m. local time.

According to News 3, the Middleton High School area was on lockdown with the police deployed to the scene.
