    29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov has plead not guilty to murder and terrorism charges after on October 31 he drove a truck into a bike path in Lower Manhattan, killing 8 people and injuring 11 others.

    NEW YORK (Sputnik) — The man charged for the deadly truck attack in Manhattan last month has plead not guilty to murder and terrorism charges during a New York Court hearing, local media reported Tuesday.

    According to Pix11 News, Sayfullo Saipov, 29, plead not guilty to 22 charges, including murder and terrorism, before US District Judge Vernon Broderick in Manhattan.

    On October 31, Saipov drove a truck into a bike path in Lower Manhattan, killing 8 people and injuring 11 others. US authorities are investigating the tragedy as a terrorist attack, with Daesh terror group taking responsibility for it.

    On November 21, US federal grand jury announced the 22-count indictment against Saipov.

    Saipov will be back in court on January 23, according to media reports.
