Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Diane Feinstein said that Paul Manafort has started handing over documents to the US Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the Russia probe.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort has started handing over documents to the US Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the Russia probe, Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Diane Feinstein said in a joint statement.

"Faced with issuance of a subpoena we are happy that Mr. Manafort has started producing documents to the Committee," the statement said on Tuesday.

The investigation of Trump’s connections to Russia and alleged interference in the 2016 election is in its early stages and the committee will continue seeking information from witnesses as necessary, the statement added.

Russia has denied all allegations of interfering in US elections.
