US President Donald Trump is expected to appoint Anthony Scaramucci, a Wall Street financier, as the White House communications director, local media reported, citing sources familiar with the situation.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the NBC News, Scaramucci was offered the job on Thursday, when he met with the president and his daughter, Ivanka Trump, in the Oval Office.

Previous communications director Mike Dubke resigned in late May after three months in office.

The White House communications director is responsible for developing and promoting agenda of the US president and leading its media campaign. The director works on speeches of the president and organizes key addresses such as the State of the Union Address.
