Trump Administration Confident Healthcare Bill to Pass By August

The White House has no doubts the revised version of the US Senate Republican legislation to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, will pass before senators go home for the August recess, White House Director of Legislative Affairs Mark Short said in a press briefing on Monday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — An initial vote on the measure was scheduled for late June, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was forced to delay the vote after a number of Republican senators rejected the first draft of the bill.

"We are confident that it’s going to pass," Short stated.

A revised version of the bill is expected to be introduced sometime on Monday.
