US Senate Committee Delays Vote on Trade Representative Nominee Lighthizer

The US Senate Finance Committee on Thursday delayed a vote on Robert Lighthizer, President Donald Trump's nominee for the position US Trade Representative, due to lack of quorum.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The senators on the Finance Committee will vote on Lighthizer nomination the last week of April, after the two-week Easter break.

Lighthizer previously served as Deputy Trade Representative under President Ronald Reagan and was chief of staff of the US Senate Finance Committee during Reagan's administration.
