Assassination of Russian Ambassador in Turkey (121)

US President-elect Donald Trump condemned on Monday the assassination of Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov in Ankara.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Karlov was killed by a gunman at an art gallery exhibition opening in Ankara. Three other people were also injured in the attack.

"The murder of an ambassador is a violation of all rules of civilized order and must be universally condemned," Trump said in a statement on Monday.

Trump added that the attack was carried out by "a radical Islamic terrorist."

The US president-elect also commented on the recent attacks in Germany and Switzerland on his Twitter page, claiming that the incidents should change the world's thinking.
