WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The three-stage Pegasus rocket has deployed eight small Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) satellites into a low-earth orbit.
The satellites will monitor hurricanes, and also help provide high speed Internet services to rural areas of North America, according to separate press releases from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Orbital ATK.
