The ads reportedly appeared in the Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Austin American-Statesman and Salt Lake City Tribune Wednesday morning and target the electors in the states where Trump won.
The members of the Electoral College are scheduled to meet on December 19 to cast their ballots.

Trump won 306 projected electoral votes against Clinton's 232, but ceded the popular vote to her by 2.1 percent.
The two-tier election system in the United States means that the president is chosen not by popular vote, but by electors representing each state. A number of electors for a state is proportionate to its population, and, if a candidate wins a state, even if by a very thin margin, he or she usually receives all of the electors' votes.
Most electors pledge to cast their ballots for a certain candidate and, while breaking the pledge is not unheard of, it has managed to overturn the result of the election only once so far. In 1836, 23 electors in Virginia colluded to abstain voting for Vice President Johnson, who was then still appointed by the Senate.
