WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Sizemore, 24, was arrested in November at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where he was stationed, in the US state of Ohio. The release noted that Sizemore allegedly sold at least 38 items described as night-vision or thermal equipment for about $50,000.
“Defendant Zachary Sizemore, an active-duty service member of the United States Air Force, made his initial appearance this morning before United States Magistrate Judge Marilyn Go at the US Courthouse in Brooklyn, New York, on charges of theft and sale without authority of night-vision devices and components stolen from the Air Force,” the release stated on Wednesday.
If convicted, Sizemore faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
