New York City Anti-Trump Coalition Forms Action Groups

The Trump Resistance, a new coalition of New York City advocacy groups that oppose policies suggested by US President-elect Donald Trump, will consist of eight parts tasked with carrying out specific tasks, organizer Jeremiah Johnson said in a statement Tuesday.

NEW YORK (Sputnik) – The coalition was formed in late November as a way to coordinate efforts of left-leaning activist groups in New York that oppose Trump’s proposed agenda.

Over 800 people are represented in the coalition, through groups including Black Lives Matter, Gays Against Guns and the New York Immigration Coalition.

"These are the eight separate groups that will help structure our work going forward –  Administrative, Media, Internal Communications, Action Facilitation, Action Logistics, Education and Issues, Coalition Building, and Props," the statement said.
