WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Dozens of others were injured as a result of the tornado, which swept through Alabama’s Jackson County shortly after midnight Tuesday, CNN reported.
The tornado was part of a storm system that struck parts of the southeastern United States, leaving thousands of Alabama residents without electricity.
Multiple tornadoes have touched down in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi this week.
