US President-elect Donald Trump has decided to nominate Georgia Representative Tom Price, who is also the author of an Obamacare replacement plan, to lead the Department of Health and Human Services under his administration, media reported, citing sources.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper, the anonymous sources said that an announcement on the issue would likely be made on Tuesday, however this was not set in stone. This nomination could mean that the new US administration plans to implement their own healthcare system, the media reported.

Price is an orthopedic surgeon and a six-term congressman, who is widely known as a critic of US President Obama’s healthcare reform, known as Obamacare.
