US President-elect Donald Trump is considering Monica Crowley, a foreign affairs and political analyst at Fox News Television broadcaster, as a candidate for the White House press secretary, media reported.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — According to the Politico, Crowley, who is also a regular columnist for the Washington Times, was an early advocate for Trump.

Earlier in November, media reported that Laura Ingraham, radio talk show host and a conservative political commentator, was being considered for the position of White House press secretary.

On November 8, Trump managed to defeat Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the US presidential elections, securing 290 electoral votes. Trump's inauguration will be held on January 20, 2017.
