Protests against US president-elect Donald Trump continue in front of Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC after the victory of the controversial Republican candidate at the presidential elections, a Sputnik correspondent reported.

Protests Against Trump Spread to Red States, Canada
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Around 100 people continue chanting "Not our president!" and "Shut him down!" in front of Trump's hotel on Friday, Veteran's day, while major riots took place immediately after the election.

Trump secured an unexpected victory in the presidential election on Tuesday with 290 electoral votes against his rival Hillary Clinton's 232. His inauguration will be held on January 20, 2017.

On Thursday, anti-Trump protests were underway in Dallas, Texas. On Wednesday, Trump's opponents gathered in various US states and in such major cities as New York, Chicago and Seattle to express their opposition to Trump's victory in the elections.
