According to reports, police had to break up shouting matches between rival camps of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump supporters outside the Republican candidate’s New York City home.

NEW YORK (Sputnik) Police had to break up shouting matches between rival camps of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump supporters outside the Republican candidate’s New York City home.

"Come on, you're talking about the woman that said in 1974, 'Donald Trump grabbed my arm.' Give me a break!" one Trump loyalist yelled over a railing at a Clinton supporter, who had accused Trump of misogyny.

"Make America great again!" another cluster of Trump fans chanted, echoing their candidate’s campaign theme.

Members of the New York Police Department had to intervene in similar instances early Wednesday outside Trump Tower on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue.

No physical violence was seen, however.
