MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Trump Tower, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's unofficial headquarters, has been barricaded with the New York City Department of Sanitation trucks with sand in order to minimize damage from potential terrorist attacks, TMZ online outlet reported.

Heavy police presence was also reported at Hilton Midtown which Trump chose to celebrate his victory.

The US presidential elections are being held on Tuesday, November 8. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and her Republican rival Trump are the main contenders for the post of the new US leader.
