WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Voters in Wilson County, Tennessee have experienced difficulties trying to cast ballots because of temporary system malfunction, US media reported on Tuesday.
As the poll stations opened, it became apparent the printers were not functioning properly, according to NBC News.
This situation prompted voters to enter the required information manually instead of using customized bar codes stamped on their ballots, the report added.
Tennessee state election were quoted as saying officials assured the public they have tested all equipment before Election Day, but gave no details why the glitch could occur.
Although the voting machines are functioning properly now, the technical hiccup has slowed down the voting process in the county.
