WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Pollster.com noted Obama’s rating in analysis published Monday that tracked survey data by political party.
While eclipsing the approval marks Reagan received in 1988, near the end of his presidency, Obama is not currently as popular as Bill Clinton was toward the conclusion of his second term, in 2000, the analysis found.
According to polling organization Gallup, Obama’s approval rating was 56 percent as of Monday, on the eve of the election of his successor, matching a level that has mostly remained steady since August 2009.
