US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s aide Neera Tanden called Israel "depressing" a day after legislative elections in 2015, emails released by WikiLeaks showed on Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The information was revealed in a new batch of emails of Clinton's campaign chairman published by the whistleblowing website.

"Israel is depressing. It's a good lesson that the wing nuts are just ruthless in every country," Tanden wrote in an email addressed to Clinton's campaign chair John Podesta on March 18, 2015.

Likud–National Liberal Movement headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came in first with 23.4 percent.

WikiLeaks published the first batch of Podesta's emails on October 8.
