MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Michael Bronfein, one of the major contributors to US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign was worried that the candidate was not popular enough among younger voters and urged to look for the ways to improve the situation, emails released by WikiLeaks revealed on Friday.

"It's sad but I'd also advise she needs a more trivial approach to her an arsenal. BS [Bernie Sanders] has made his campaign/movement symbiotic with a pop culture trend. HRC [Hillary Rodham Clinton] needs this kind of infusion to pull younger voters. And she may not be the best face of it so so maybe it's trending figures to advocate for her b/c that's the crap that young people pay attention to… So if someone they identify as cool endorses — they will likely fall in line with that candidate," an email sent out on February 10, 2016 read.

The information surfaced in a new batch of emails of Clinton's campaign chairman published by the whistleblowing website.

WikiLeaks published the first batch of Podesta's emails on October 8.
