Defense Contractor Receives $700Mln to Supply Chemicals to US Gov't

The US Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) a $700 million contract for chemicals, packaged petroleum, oils and lubricants, the company said in a press release.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — SAIC will provide comprehensive logistics and supply-chain-management services to the US Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps as well as federal civilian agencies and foreign military customers.

"The Defense Logistics Agency awarded Science Applications International Corp. a $700 million fixed-price, single award indefinite-quantity contract for chemicals, packaged petroleum, oils, and lubricants," the release stated. "The contract has a five-year base period of performance, one three-year option, and one two-year option, for a total potential value of up to $1.4 billion."

Work will be performed in the US states of Arizona, California, Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas.
