Moscow Unlikely to Forget Lack of Invitation to Monitor US Elections

Moscow finds unacceptable the US warning of criminal charges for Russian diplomats if they appear at polling stations, and will not ignore the snub, if Russian monitors are not allowed to observe US presidential elections on November 8, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Ryabkov added that Russia chose to conduct the observations independently and not with the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe as Moscow did not fully agree with some of the ODIHR criteria for drafting final reports of such observations.

"Our US colleagues should not think we will just forget this [being refused an invitation to monitor elections] and that in the future, if they want to monitor something like that in our country, we will not remember what they did in the similar situation," Ryabkov said.

On October 21, US Department of State spokesperson John Kirby said that Russia should have joined the international observation mission to monitor the US elections. He also said the State Department could not influence the authorities of Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma, who earlier refused to let Russian monitors observe the elections, as these decisions were always made on a state level.

Russian embassy in Washington said that the Russian diplomats were not only denied access to the elections but also warned of the possibility of criminal charges if they appeared at the polling stations.

      American Socialist,
Yes. People from smaller countries might be intimidated - put in fear of their lives - probably routinely have been ! Hardly the Big Baaarr.

I've called elections in the US, blood-sports, but contemplating them, fair play and sportsmanship are not words that readily spring to mind.

This is so typical action from the Bonnie and Clyde gang of USA. Doesn't anyone remember an incident at the American polling stations with Mr. Clinton interfering.

And now they are putting out projections towards Russia in order to "uncondition" the Clinton agenda worldwide.
Because why would Russian diplomats have any interest in the American election, unless naturally they are part of international observators, according to international laws. So this "US warning of criminal charges for Russian diplomats if they appear at polling stations" is just their desperate way of "neutralizing" the Clinton agenda at the polling station in MA.

Apparently the Skinner principles can be used to analyse the methods of these criminal gangs running for presidency in Usa. There should be Russian and other psychological expertis who can analyse the agenda.

Just kick the US diplomats out of Russia when you have elections.

American Socialist, I don't know what the percentage of Americans boycotting the election is going to be but I don't think that the numbers are going to be small. Many of us have known for a long time that the whole thing is one colossal fraud. A fraud election is by definition rigged and indeed can be nothing else. It goes far beyond the Clinton vs. Trump controversy and is structural in nature. They don't want Russian observers at the poles because Russia is in a position to expose this whole rotten edifice for what it is before the eyes of the entire world.

Russia is not required to recognize as legitimate the results of the US elections. US/EU do not even recognized any election result that does not meet their strategic plans: lead by example???
