WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – According to the poll conducted by the Politico news outlet and the Morning Consult polling firm, 39 percent of the voters want Trump to end his campaign. However, a slightly larger number of voters — 45 percent — still believe he should continue his rally. Only 13 percent of Republicans would like the party's candidate to be changed.

The poll revealed that US Democratic presidential nominee Clinton was the most popular candidate, supported by 42 percent of electorate.

Over 1,500 registered voters participated in the poll.

The poll followed the recent scandal over a 2005 video recording in which Trump allegedly makes several vulgar remarks with regard to women, as caught on the microphone, although he was not shown on the video while making these remarks.
