Mitsubishi MRJ90 Jet Safely Reaches US to Undergo Flight Tests
02:07 GMT 29.09.2016 (Updated: 11:16 GMT 06.08.2022) A Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) passenger aircraft has arrived in Moses Lake, Washington to undergo flight tests ahead of first deliveries, The Seattle Times reports.
TOKYO (Sputnik) – The MRJ90 aircraft, the first of the four MRJs, landed in Moses Lake on Wednesday afternoon, the newspaper said.
27 September 2016, 22:45 GMT
Mitusbishi Aircraft Company spokeswoman Miho Takahashi said as quoted by The Seattle Times that "the aircraft operated properly in flight."
Earlier this year, the flight was delayed several times amid malfunctions of the cabin air pressure and temperature control system.
The MRJ aircraft will undergo flight tests in the United States because Japan’s air space is too congested.
The aircraft made its initial flight in November 2015. The first deliveries are planned for 2018.
