Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump launched a new attack on the alleged corruption of his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, telling Americans to follow the trail of financial donations to her and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, in a campaign speech.

*WASHINGTON, September 29 (Sputnik) — Trump said that in her four years as US secretary of state from 2009 to 2013, Clinton had put her office up for sale and he noted that 22 groups paying Bill Clinton for speeches lobbied the State Department during her tenure.

"Everything that you need to know about Hillary Clinton can be found in that simple phrase — Follow the money," Trump told a rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin on Wednesday night. "Hillary Clinton has received $100 million from Wall Street and hedge funds."

"If she ever got the chance she'd put the Oval Office up for sale also," he said.

Trump repeated his charge that Clinton had repeatedly proved she was the candidate of the special interests and for the status quo, working with a corrupt mainstream media to sell out the interests of the American people to the highest bidders.

"The American people have had it with [decades] of Clinton scandals and their total corruption. She is a globalist who has made a career of taking jobs from our country and giving them to other countries," Trump said.

She is indebted to "the wealthy donors who want to shut down American industry," he added.

Clinton lacks the character and judgment" to hold public office in the United States, Trump concluded.
