Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has raised more than $13 million in the past 24 hours, the Republican nominee said in a Twitter message on Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Top fundraisers were invited to spend the day at Trump Tower, the New York City building where Trump lives and has offices, calling prospective donors for the “national call day,” local media reported.

"In the last 24 hrs. we have raised over $13M[illion] from online donations and National Call Day, and we're still going," the message stated.

According to Politico, four fundraisers who bring in at least $250,000 for the campaign by Friday will win invitations to the next US presidential debate between Trump and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

The second of three presidential debates is scheduled for October 9.
