The United States must restore relationships between communities and police officers to end racial tensions, US Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton said at the first US presidential debate.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Clinton stressed that everyone should be respected by the law.

"We have to restore trust between communities and the police… Everyone should be respected by the law, and everyone should respect the law," Clinton stated on Monday night. "Right now that’s not the case."
