00:56 GMT 27.09.2016 (Updated: 11:16 GMT 06.08.2022) A team of "deplorables" will be running Donald Trump’s Twitter account during the first US presidential debate, the Republican nominee said in a Twitter message.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The comment was made ahead of the first televised Presidential debate.
"My team of deplorables will be managing my Twitter account for this evening[’]s debate," Trump tweeted ahead of the debate on Monday.

Trump’s opponent Hillary Clinton coined the phrase during a September 9 speech in which she characterized half of the billionaire businessman’s supporters as racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamophobic.
Clinton refused to apologize for the comment, stating that she only regretted using the term "half" and promising to continue the same line of criticism on Trump and his supporters.
