Hillary Clinton Condemns 'Apparent Terrorist Attacks' in US

US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton condemned the "apparent terrorist attacks" in the US cities of New Jersey, New York and St. Cloud, Minnesota, adding that "this should steel our resolve" to defeat terrorism.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Daesh militant group claimed responsibility for the attack in Minnesota.

"I strongly condemn the apparent terrorist attacks in Minnesota, New Jersey, and New York. I pray for all of those who were wounded, and for their families," Clinton said in a statement Sunday, as quoted by the Boston Globe newspaper.

"ISIS [Daesh] has claimed responsibility for the attack in Minnesota, and this should steel our resolve to protect our country and defeat ISIS [Daesh] and other terrorist groups," Clinton said.

On Saturday, an explosion erupted overnight in Manhattan's busy Chelsea neighborhood, injuring 29 people. Later that day, a bomb exploded near a US Marine Corps charity race in the city of Seaside Park, New Jersey, about 82 miles south of New York City.

Also on Saturday an attacker off-duty police officer shot dead a suspected attacker who stabbed eight people inside a mall located in the US city of St. Cloud, Minnesota.
