    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the joint Simpson College and the Red America, Blue America (RABA) bipartisan group poll, Trump would receive 43 percent and Clinton 42 percent, if November’s general election was held only between the two candidates.

    The poll was conducted on September 6-8 via automated phone and internet surveys and included 1,054 interviews with Iowa residents.

    Iowa is one of the so-called battleground states in the US presidential election.

    US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump led Democratic rival Hillary Clinton among likely voters nationwide by a 45 to 43 percent margin in a CNN/ORC poll released on September 6.
