MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Reports of an active shooter at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) were unfounded and caused by loud noises, the local police said.
“Report of shooting at LAX proven to be LOUD NOISES only No Shots Fired No Injuries investigation continues to locate source,” Andy Neiman, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) spokesman, said on his official Twitter account.

Hundreds of people were evacuated to the airport’s runway on Sunday night as its central terminal was closed during the police operation caused by reports of shot fired at the facility.
