MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the map, updated with the NBC poll's data, and some other state surveys, Clinton has 288 electoral votes, which exceeds the number needed to secure presidency. Her rival, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, gets 174 votes, with another 76 are regarded as toss-ups.
The NBC's map lists Florida, Iowa and Ohio as toss-ups, though recent NBC/Wall Street Journal polls have revealed Clinton was leading over her Republican rival in those states. Such US states as Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado and Michigan now lean Democrat, while Georgia and Nevada are considered toss-ups.
The July NBC map suggested Clinton would earn 255 votes, while Trump 190, which means the Democratic nominee's tally has risen since the two parties' national conventions, while Trump's has decreased.
The US presidential election is scheduled to take place on November 8.
